Un-finished toys are produced by various members of the woodchucks and gifted to children's hospitals in the Dallas Metroplex. The toys are unfinished as requested by the hospitals and given to each child to aid their recovery through activity, play periods, and transportation as appropriate. Each child has the opportunity to personalze the toy throughout their hospital stay and take the toy home when discharged. Toys are distributed throughout the year to assure every child admitted may take a personal toy home. Over 1400 toys are gifted to Children’s Medical Center - Dallas, Children’s Medical Center - Plano, and Scottish Rites Children’s Hospital – Dallas. The appropriate toy is carried onboard the medi-evac team to provide a distraction durring transport via airplane,helicopter, or ambulance.
